Some customers will have a bronze car service one year and a silver car service the next so if they’re not doing the mileage, it’s not always advised to book a silver car service every year. Most of our customers book an MOT and service at the same time.
If your vehicle fails its MOT, you will be issued a VT30 form and your vehicle will have a “dangerous” or “major” fault. This means that it is not roadworthy and you are not allowed to drive it until the necessary repairs have been made. You will then need to rebook another MOT test once the repairs havebeen completed. It is important to address any issues that caused the failure as soon as possible, as driving a vehicle with dangerous or major faults can result in accidents and put yourself and others at risk.
Driving without a valid MOT certificate is illegal and can result in fines or penalties. If you are caught driving without an MOT, you could face a fine of up to £1,000 and your vehicle may also be impounded. Additionally, driving without an MOT can also invalidate your car insurance, leaving you liable for any damages or accidents that occur while driving.
Yes, you can book an MOT even if your current one has expired. However, it is important to note that driving a vehicle without a valid MOT certificate is illegal and can result in fines or penalties.
