Goodwood FOS 2023: The roaring engines, the excitement of speed and the sheer passion for cars – this is the essence of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. For the first time, Elite Garages became a part of this amazing event which attracts over 200,000 visitors across the weekend!

Let’s face it, the Goodwood Festival of Speed has to be the world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture! The event was a fantastic opportunity to showcase Elite Garages’ products and services, meet the team behind the scenes and to promote our new partnership with Bosch Car Service!

The Elite Garages Stand – A Hub of Activity

Here’s what visitors enjoyed at the Elite Garages’ bustling stand:

Pirelli F1 Tyres Take the Spotlight:

• The 18-inch 2023 Pirelli Formula One tyres were on full display.
• The crowd was buzzing with questions about these tyres – from their composition to their water displacement capabilities in wet conditions.

Cars that Turned Heads At Goodwood Festival of Speed:

Elite Garages also had 3 fantastic cars on display throughout the weekend which drew lots of attention:

• The electric Audi E-Tron GT, showcasing its brilliant Vredestein tyres.
• A stunning plasma blue Aston Martin DB11 Volante courtesy of Harwoods.
• A nostalgic treat for many – our old Nissan S-Cargo, which once served as our tyre delivery vehicle.

Racing Thrills with Elite’s Simulator at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Race enthusiasts got a hands-on experience, racing on the iconic Goodwood circuit in a Formula One car. Congratulations to our top racers who drove home with a brand new Bosch pressure washer. The final lap times of the winners are as follows:

• Mathieu – 55.074 (Thursday)
• Riley – 54.930 (Friday)
• Saturday – Event Day Cancelled Due To Bad Weather
• Tom – 56.352 (Sunday)

Engaging Contests and Wins

• Our “Guess How Many Valves in the Container” competition saw close to 1,000 entries! Amy nailed it and bagged some cool gadgets from our Shaftesbury branch.
• Kids had their fun too with a chance to win a Bridgestone Kids ‘Baby Benz’ car or a Bosch workbench. Cheers to our champs, Marcela and Chris!
• Thanks to our partnership with Continental tyres, Luciana, Lucy, and Steve will soon be flaunting their adidas trainers with Continental soles.

Richard Whittemore expressed, “Goodwood Festival of Speed was a fantastic opportunity for us to promote our new partnership with Bosch Car Service. The Elite Garages stand was a great success, with lots of visitors taking part in various activities. We were overwhelmed with the positive feedback!”

Kelsie Whittemore added, “We’re really proud of the whole team for their enthusiasm throughout the event as we know working a full day at Festival of Speed can be a tiring day! Our stand involved a fantastic mix of activities for visitors and we received lots of positive feedback about the stand as well as my colleagues. Bobbie Bishop who won 2 tickets in Elite Garages’ prize draw said:

“I visit Mark and the team at Bournemouth. Great time, especially if you’re a lady that’s a bit anxious about cars as some people have bad experiences going into garages – the team are great, Mark will explain everything, what’s being done to the car, what the options are, the pricing and they’re all really nice guys. We take about 7 cars in there between my family and they’re always good to us and do a really good job for a good price. We’ve had services, MOTs, I even had two nice new tyres yesterday to come to Goodwood!”

One of our Haywards Heath customers that visited our Goodwood stand said:

“The service is really good. They always discuss the job with me which is really nice. I’ve had wiper blades, MOT and a bit of suspension work – always good value. What I do like is that you get your invoice before coming to pay for the job so I can ask any questions if I need to.”

Another decade-long patron from Canterbury gave a shoutout, praising our consistent services and our wonderful team. They had had this to say:

“The branch looks after my Volvo XC90 – they carry out the MOT, replace the tyres. They’ve also looked after my Porsche 911 Classic and I’ve had no problems. Fantastic service. They’ve been very helpful and I’ll keep using them for the foreseeable future. I’ve used them for over 10 years so they’ve looked after all my cars and they’re a great bunch of guys.”
