What is the Law on Part-Worn Tyres in the UK?

In the UK, selling part-worn tyres isn’t illegal, but it’s regulated by strict laws to ensure safety. The Motor Vehicle Tyres (Safety) Regulations 1994 stipulates that part-worn tyres must meet certain standards before they can be sold:
